World Wide Child Care Training

Welcome to our web site!

Our Mission

The mission of World Wide Child Care Training is to provide innovative programs that enable Early Childhood professionals to offer the highest quality care to the children and families within their centers. Keeping our mission in mind, WWCCT commits to contemporary course delivery by offering our trainings through the use of multimedia technology

Current Projects

Many online classes have not been successful because the participants found them to be boring. One project that can incorporate multimedia components is requiring the participants to prepare a PowerPoint presentation. PowerPoint presentations can help make learning more authentic and also offer a place to analyze, reflect, network and discuss the given topic (Jones & McCann, 2005). The participants will be required to use multimedia in their projects to make them more meaningful and effective. Multimedia development tools could also be used in creating a virtual clinical setting online. Utilizing a virtual childcare center, participants would be trained in proper procedures and codes of conduct by using simulations. Participants would get to see the results of their behavioral choices without causing any real-world consequences. When converting our training program into an online format we wanted it to be positive and beneficial for our global participants. We have learned that using e-learning technology in a training program provides a wide range of learning in a quality context (Burns, 2005). Incorporating interactive multimedia into our training helps to motivate and keep the participants involved in the learning process by appealing to the various learning styles (Connor, 2004). One study found students who were learning with the added effects of audio, animation, and spatial ability in a multimedia program spent more time working with the program than those only with static information (Koroghlanian & Klein, 2004).

Multimedia development tools have many common features that would assist our company in developing professional multimedia projects quickly and effectively. The most common features are page templates to speed site development and easy processes for publishing projects to the Internet, CD-ROM, or a corporate network (Adobe Systems Incorporated, 2005; Macromedia, Inc., 2005; Microsoft Corporation, 2005). Some products also set up automatic site navigation structures (Macromedia, Inc., 2005; Microsoft Corporation, 2005), which would greatly reduce the need for the designer to create buttons and links. Finally, some products also allow the designer to preview how the page will look at different screen resolutions (Microsoft, 2005) or different screen sizes, such as that of a PDA (Adobe Systems Incorporated, 2005). All of these features would help our company set up a virtual childcare center simulation online.

World Wide Child Care Training (WWCCT) has a strong instructional basis at its core. The addition of multimedia trainings will enhance our ability to provide innovative programming and training, while affording our company the opportunity of continued expansion and commitment to quality of instruction.
